This guide covers the web Design Tool — the browser wizard that turns an Aurora-backed solar or solar-plus-storage project into a permit-ready package. It is written for engineers, design reviewers, and operations teammates.
Each wizard step locks in data the next step depends on:
- Project & Aurora — identity, AHJ, utility, codes, financing, scope.
- Site, Equipment & Roof — the physical PV, storage, roof, and racking.
- Electrical Interconnection — the validated one-line graph, ratings, grounding, tie-in, and NEC checks.
- Wire Schedule — conductor sizing, OCPD, EGC, and voltage drop, derived from the design.
- Review, Export & Outputs — BOM, construction review, and the permit outputs.
