Start a Design
Start from a fresh imported session whenever you are documenting or training the normal user journey. A completed session is useful as a reference, but it hides the setup moments that new users need to understand: required fields, incomplete sections, validation messages, save states, and step-to-step dependencies.
Recommended Walkthrough Setup
Use a fresh session that already has real JobEngine and Aurora data loaded. The session should start on Step 1 with project identity, Aurora design, utility/AHJ context, and imported equipment available.
Avoid using an already-finished session for the main walkthrough. Finished sessions are better for final-state examples such as "what does a complete electrical graph look like?" or "what does the final BOM look like?"
High-Level Workflow
- Open the session at Step 1.
- Confirm project identity, permit data, production data, financing scope, and equipment reconciliation.
- Move to Step 2 and confirm physical site, equipment, roof, framing, and mounting details.
- Move to Step 3 and complete the electrical graph, device ratings, grounding/bonding, and grid tie-in.
- Move to Step 4 and review the generated wire schedule.
- Move to Step 5 and review/export BOM and construction-review outputs.
Capture Guidance
For documentation, capture one clean screenshot per step before changing anything, then record short clips for the workflows that require interaction:
- Selecting or changing a finance/equipment option.
- Attesting site review and checking roof-face details.
- Opening the Step 3 inspector and resolving required fields.
- Reviewing tie-in compliance.
- Switching between Full NEC and Schedule views in Wire Schedule.
- Exporting BOM CSVs or opening final outputs.
