Knowledge Base palette

The project's AHJ and utility design data, inside AutoCAD.

The Knowledge Base tab shows the design data JobEngine tracks for your project's jurisdiction (AHJ) and utility:

  • Code cycles — which electrical/fire/building code editions apply
  • Stamp requirements — when engineering stamps are required
  • Fire setbacks — jurisdiction setback rules
  • Interconnection — utility interconnection rules
  • Production meter / NEM — metering and net-energy-metering details

Open it with DT_KB or the ribbon toggle .

How it finds your project

The palette resolves the drawing's loaded session to its AHJ and utility automatically — run LOAD_DT first so the drawing knows its project. There's also a search box for ad-hoc lookups by name.

Read-only, honest about gaps

The palette never invents data: if the knowledge base doesn't track a field for your AHJ, it shows nothing rather than a guess. If the service can't be reached, the tab says so and the rest of the plugin keeps working — see Knowledge base unavailable.
