Knowledge base unavailable

What it means when the Knowledge Base tab can't reach its data.

The Knowledge Base palette gets its AHJ and utility data from a JobEngine service that is still being rolled out — on some environments "unavailable" is expected, not broken.

What you'll see

The tab tells you the knowledge base can't be reached and stays empty. Everything else keeps working — drawing fill, tables, photos, chat are unaffected.

What to check

  1. Are you signed in? The tab needs your JobEngine account — run LOAD_DT or sign in from the ribbon.
  2. Does the drawing know its session? The palette resolves your project through the session loaded on the drawing — run LOAD_DT first on a fresh template.
  3. Is it just this project? Try the search box with a known AHJ name. If search works but your project resolves nothing, the project may not be linked to an AHJ/utility in JobEngine yet — fix the project data there.
  4. Still down? It's likely the rollout status of the service for your environment, not your machine. Check with your lead; mention what the tab says.
